David Raya is guaranteed to win the Premier League Golden Glove award following Everton’s 1-1 draw with Luton Town last night.

Jordan Pickford was the only goalkeeper left who was in with a chance of overtaking the Arsenal No.1 who has kept an impressive 14 clean sheets this term.

The England international, however, was beaten by Elijah Adebayo’s equaliser as the Hatters earned a valuable point in their battle to beat the drop.

Raya is now guaranteed to win at least a share of the prestigious award but will win it outright should be shut out Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon as the Gunners look to cement their place at the top of the table.

The 28-year-old will become the third Arsenal goalkeeper to take the prize after Wojciech Szczesny and Petr Cech, who took the accolades in 2013/14 and 2015/16 respectively, with 16 clean sheets each.

Despite an impressive debut campaign for the north London club, Mikel Arteta refused to confirm Raya’s long-term future speaking at Friday’s pre-match press conference.

Raya joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Brentford in the summer and although the Gunners can make the deal a permanent one at a cost of £30million, Arteta stopped shot of confirming the club intends to do so.
