Back in 2019, Megan Thee Stallion introduced us to Hot Girl Summer – and we haven’t stopped searching for an aesthetic every year since.

We’ve been rat girls and yacht girls, and even a tomato on occasion.

And so it made sense that in a year when England were favourites to win the European Football Championship, this summer would be all about the Euros girlies.

Whether you’re obsessed with football all year round – or you’re only it for the hot guys in shorts – this aesthetic is all about dressing on theme.

We can take our lead from the WAGs who’ve been showing their support. Megan Pickford and Dani Dyer have donned the fail-safe uniform of an England tee and blue jeans, but its Bukayo Saka’s stunning girlfriend, Tolami Benson, who has rightly been dubbed ‘WAG of the Season’ for her impeccable pitch-side looks.

Despite Tolami admitting on Instagram that making those Three Lions look chic isn’t easy, writing ‘you know those England tops are so hard to style,’ we’d never have guessed it.

The 23-year-old made her fashion credentials known during England’s match against Serbia, when she wore a custom leather biker jacket by Antonia Bronze, emblazoned with an 87- Saka’s Arsenal shirt number in the early days of his career.

However, as England heads into the quarter finals this Saturday, any self-respecting Euros girlie will know that with the way things are going (e.g. not great), we may not have long left to rock the look.

So, here are Metro.co.uk’s top picks to nail the Euros girlie aesthetic – for one last time…

The England tee

The hero piece of the look is, of course, an England shirt – but they don’t come cheap.

The Women’s Nike Dri-FIT Football Replica Shirt seen on Megan and Ellie costs a whopping £84.99.

That being said, the Euros does come around every four years, so you could look at it as an investment piece, if you’re truly committed to the cause.

If that’s just too much dosh to justify though, we get you, and there are other options available.
