Celebrity The Traitors is already shaping up to have one of the best line-ups in reality television history.
The BBC confirmed its biggest breakthrough series in years will be getting a celebrity edition with endless stars coming forward gagging for a spot.
While there’s still months to wait until we see famous faces backstab like never before, Shooting Stars hero, novelist and all around good egg Bob Mortimer is the latest name to say he’d love to take part.
‘It’s the only show of its kind on TV that I would agree to get involved with but, yes, definitely count me in, I’d love to do it,’ he told The Mirror.
‘I watch the American, UK and Australian versions of The Traitors. I think they’re all great, it’s a brilliant format. And Claudia is the best of the presenters.’
There is simply no one we’d love to see creeping around a Scottish castle in a green cloak, ‘killing off’ their celebrity pals more.

An insider added to the publication: ‘Bob would be comedy gold. Just brilliant. He’ll be getting a call, for sure.’
A fellow British national treasure, Stephen Fry has also logged his interest in Celebrity The Traitors too after topping presenter Claudia Winkleman’s wish list of dream contestants, reportedly telling producers to ‘name a date and time’ and he’ll be there.
It’s also been claimed producers are on the hunt for another pairing to take part after the success of Diane and Ross in series 2.
Claudia is already closely tied the celebrity couple currently tipped to be taking part with her Strictly co-host Tess Daly and her husband Vernon Kay thought to be the in the line-up.
It could be wishful thinking but there’s also very genuinely a possibility Friends icon Courteney Cox is on board for Celebrity Traitors, after she begged for a spot in the second ‘civilian’ series.
Celebrity Traitors is expected to air on BBC One in 2025. The Traitors is available to stream on BBC iPlayer now.
