Standoff ends with arrests at Kenwood home

Two people were led away in handcuffs after an apparent SWAT situation ended Tuesday afternoon in Kenwood.

The incident happened at 10:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of South Lake Park Avenue, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesperson Larry Merritt.

No injuries were reported.

As of early afternoon, a Chicago Sun-Times photographer witnessed two people being led away in handcuffs. Officers were leaving the scene.

In a statement police said the area was deemed safe, and the incident was not bona fide.
