U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) is warning Americans about President Trump’s threat to send military or other federal law enforcement personnel to voting locations this November.

Slotkin shared a video uploaded by PBS NewsHour White House correspondent Liz Landers, who asked the President if he would send the National Guard or ICE to voting locations. As seen and heard in the video below, Trump said: “Well you know what. I’d do anything necessary to make sure we have honest elections. We have to have honest elections.”

Slotkin responded: “The President continues to tell us that he is ready and willing to send in the active duty military or ICE to polling locations this fall. We need to believe him and prepare accordingly.”

Slotkin did not elaborate on how one would prepare accordingly and Trump supporters are accusing the Senator of “stirring the insurrection pot.” One asked sarcastically if soldiers or agents sent to voting locations should disobey orders.

[NOTE: In November, Slotkin was one of six members of Congress, all of whom served in either the military or intelligence services, who posted a video reminding members of the military that they can refuse illegal orders.]

President Trump responded by calling those who appeared in the video, including Slotkin, traitors who should be charged with sedition. The President also amplified a post which read, “HANG THEM.”
