After President Trump announced that the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on Friday night, several members of Congress — from both sides of the aisle — voiced their opposition to the decision, including U.S. Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), and U.S. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA), who have called the attack “illegal” as “the act of war was unauthorized by Congress.”

Khanna said: “Trump has launched an illegal regime change war in Iran with American lives at risk. Congress must convene on Monday to vote on @RepThomasMassie & my WPR to stop this. Every member of Congress should go on record this weekend on how they will vote.”
Pro-Israel Fox News star Mark Levin replied to Khanna, “Sit down, moron. Nothing illegal about it. It’s a bridge too far for you to support our troops against terrorists. You’re awful.”

Note: Levin appeared on Sean Hannity’s show on Friday night and said of the Iranian regime: “We don’t need to put up with their crap,” and “It’s time to put it to an end.”
Hannity agreed and, as Media Matters phrased it, “went on to suggest that Americans who oppose striking Iran are ‘ignorant’ and would have allowed Adolf Hitler to seize Europe.”
Mark Levin ranted on Hannity last night that “time is up” and he should abandon isolationism.

Ro Khanna replied to Levin’s personal attack: “I am more America first than you are Mark. And more MAGA voters agree with me on this and taking on the Epstein class than agree with your war propaganda selling them out.”
Note: Khanna and Massie have been working closely together across the aisle to get the DOJ to release the entire cache of Epstein files. They commonly refer to those in power not helping with the release as the “Epstein class.”
