Days of Our Lives has been on air since 1965.

It originally broadcast on US network NBC but was moved to the streaming service Peacock in 2022.

Mark Lazarus, chairman of NBCUniversal Television and Streaming, said of the changes at the time: ‘With a large percentage of the Days of Our Lives audience already watching digitally, this move enables us to build the show’s loyal fanbase on streaming while simultaneously bolstering the network daytime offering with an urgent, live programming opportunity for partners and consumers.’

Set in the fictional town of Salem, Days of Our Lives follows the trials, tribulations and daily debacles of the locals, including the Brady, Horton, Carver and DiMera families.

Mila Kunis, Jensen Ackles, Pamela Anderson and Ashley Benson are just some of the famous faces who have popped up in Salem over the years.

Days has won more than 60 Emmy Awards over the last six decades, with Dick Van Dyke recently picking up an Emmy for his guest appearance last year.

The show will hit another big milestone in the coming weeks when it airs its 15,000th episode on 2 December.
