Everyone’s favourite soap quiz is back!

The Big Soap Quiz is set to hit our screens once again during this year’s holiday season, with Stephen Mulhern returning as host.

The ITV quiz show sees stars from Emmerdale and Coronation Street go head-to-head to test their soap knowledge, from big twists to shock deaths and everything in between.

Leading team Corrie as always will be Jack P Shepherd, whose character David Platt was recently revealed to have stolen money from notorious gangster Harvey Gaskell.

And on team Emmerdale, Marlon Dingle star Mark Charnock will once again take the lead. Last week saw Marlon and the Dingles lay iconic patriarch Zak to rest in emotional scenes.

The first episode of the Big Soap Quiz aired in 2011, with Coronation Street and Emmerdale going head-to-head annually since 2016.

Last year’s event saw Jack joined by Channique Sterling-Brown and Tony Maudsley, while Mark was accompanied by Natalie Ann Jamieson and Kevin Mathurin.

Christmas is set to be a busy time on the soaps this year, with Corrie set to wave goodbye to the iconic Gail Platt (Helen Worth) before the year is out.

The Big Soap Quiz isn’t the only event returning to our screens that soap fans will want to put in their diaries.

After causing outrage among fans with its cancellation this year, ITV have announced the return of the British Soap Awards for 2025.
