One of the worst stunts for attention off all time (YouTube)

Kick boss Bijan Tehrani calls streamer Dumbdumbjeez ‘pathetic’, and wants to find the homeless woman he embarrassed to gift her $50,000.

Some content creators will stoop very low to gain attention, with one example being the Kick streamer who went to TwitchCon and harassed other creators by kissing and licking them.

A new low has just been reached though, as a different Kick streamer invited a homeless person to dinner but ran off when the bill came, in an attempt to win a $50,000 (£38,000) contest.

The despicable act has caught the attention of one of the Kick co-founders, who now wants to give the homeless woman £38,000 as a gift.

‘This pathetic and now banned streamer did this while trying to win a contest for $50K. I’m disappointed this happened on Kick and we’ve got $50K for this lady if anyone can connect us,’ said Bijan Tehrani on Twitter.

The Kick co-founder was referencing a clip showing streamer Dumbdumbjeez looking over a $75 (£58) bill in a restaurant, before saying he left his wallet in his car and ran off with no intention of coming back to pay.

Dumbdumbjeez later posted a video saying the stunt was an entry into a competition set up by fellow Kick streamer Sam Pepper, which challenged creators to film themselves going on a date with a stranger.

In the video, the streamer said that the dine-and-dash was ‘scripted’ and that he had given the homeless woman the money for the bill earlier, adding:

‘At the end of the day, I’m a content creator too, and I felt that was the biggest marketing thing ever, was to do that. It’s crazy, because I got everybody, I fooled everybody. It worked, but it went out in a bad way.’

However, a fan over on Reddit said they called the restaurant and was informed that the meal had to be paid for by the establishment.

It’s unclear if the homeless woman has collected the money, or even knows about the controversy, but hopefully she’ll find out soon.
