You might have had a cold pizza for breakfast after a particularly heavy night out – but Prezzo have launched a new breakfast range that you don’t have to be hungover for.
Most of us have enjoyed one of Prezzo’s hearty Italian lunches or dinners – but now you can go there first thing in the day.
The popular chain is launching a breakfast menu across all its eateries in the UK, allowing customers to get their Italian food fix in the morning.
Available between 9am-12pm, seven days a week, the new menu features delicious dishes that offer a twist on classic morning meals.
The Breakfast Pizzulata is giving calzone energy – described as a pocket of hand-stretched pizza dough wrapped around all the goods you need to get going first thing. You choose between egg, egg and sausage, egg and bacon, and egg and avocado.
Diners may also be interested in the ‘Full Italiano’ (with a veggie version available, too), a take on our beloved fry up, featuring the usual suspects of bacon, sausage, egg, tomato and mushrooms – but served with cannellini bean ragu, calabrese ketchup and toasted focaccia.

Those with a sweet tooth can devour the Dolce Pizzulata with Nutella, sliced banana, ricotta and powdered sugar sprinkled on top. Think Nutella pizza – but you’re allowed it for breakfast.
Family-friendly, there’s also a bambini breakfast section of the menu, with dishes starting from £4. In addition to this, Prezzo will be offering a special breakfast deal, where the pizzulatas can be paired with an Illy’s Italian coffee for just £10.
According to Olly Smith, chief culinary Officer at Prezzo, the team has spent ‘many early mornings scouring markets across Italy’ on a ‘mission to share the joy of Italian dining’.
He went on to say that Prezzo was inspired to bring together Italian breakfast – consisting of espressos and plenty of conversation – with traditional British breakfast staples.’

‘Pizzulatas are a great example of that; a pocket of our hand shaped, slowly proven dough, baked in a pizza oven, filled with ricotta and our spicy calabrese ketchup, then made yours with a choice of brilliant bangers, bacon, fried eggs and more. Breakfast done right, our way!’
If you’re dying to try the new food offering, it is currently only available at certain the locations, with the breakfast menu to be rolled out across further restaurants nationwide later in the year.
