Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) will be left fighting for her life in Hollyoaks next week when she is injured in a break-in gone-wrong.

The character, as viewers know, has undergone quite the change since the Channel 4 soap took a time jump into the future.

Sienna Blake (Anna Passey) – aka the village’s resident schemer – was livid with Vicky, who destroyed her wedding to soulmate Ethan Williams (Matthew James Bailey), who tragically lost his life on the day in question, with Sienna being arrested on suspicion of murder.

But the show legend receives quite a shock next week when Vicky and dad Donny (Louis Emerick) arrive at the prison to speak to her. The pair ask if Ethan was struggling in the wake of Dave’s (Dominic Power) death, a line of questioning which takes Sienna by surprise.

Vicky has a change of heart towards Sienna, who she tormented earlier this month, revealing that she doesn’t believe that the florist would’ve been capable of murdering her beloved Ethan.

An unexpected turn of events if there was ever one.

The jury is still out on that I’m afraid as Vicky’s life is soon left hanging in the balance.

Robbie, who likes to think he runs the village, has something on Donny and the pair clash over Vicky. Donny opens up about his financial woes and Robbie suggests that he stage a break-in to claim on the insurance.

Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) refuses to get involved and thus dodgy Robbie agrees takes part instead – and he accidentally injures Vicky while doing so.

Seriously, Robbie…

Vicky is rushed to hospital with a head injury, but will she be okay? That remains to be seen.

Ste and Rex are a far cry from romance as James is the topic of conversation (Picture: Lime Pictures)

Elsewhere in the village next week, Ste takes the next step in trying to find out the truth about James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan), believing his husband to still be alive.

He confronts Rex on The Love Boat, where he finds James’ tie, believing that Rex has imprisoned his beau somewhere. Rex reveals why he kept the tie but he can’t explain the phone call, which prompts Ste to smash up the Love Boat.

Rex subsequently tells his mystery caller about Ste, believing him to be a problem. As for who this mysterious caller is, you’ll have to wait and see but what we do know is that it’s not James, with star Gregory Finnegan having essentially confirmed that he’s …read more
