Fans go wild as Spice Girls star makes surprise appearance with electronic music legends Orbital


Spice Girl star Mel C has made a surprise appearance at Glastonbury, performing with electronic duo Orbital.

A Spice Girls star surprised fans when hitting the stage with electronic music legends Orbital at Glastonbury.

On Saturday night, the 90s duo performed on the Park Stage, where they were joined by a very special guest.

Towards the end of the set, Mel C joined them to perform Spicy, which samples tracks from the Spice Girls’ discography, including their hit song Wannabe.

Wearing a white tracksuit and light up glasses, the singer put on an energetic performance, delighting fans, some who called it ‘epic’ and ‘iconic’.

Another said she was ‘the best surprise guest of the entire festival’.

This marked the third time in a row Mel C has delighted fans at the long-running music festival with a surprise appearance.

Orbital were also joined by Tilda Swinton on stage, who opened their set with a speech.

Wearing a long white dress and light up specs, she said the following to kick off the performance of their song Deeper: ‘Focus on a spot and when that spot has your full and complete attention, take a deep breath / let it out and close your eyes.’

This year marked the seventh time Orbital has performed at Worthy Farm.
