Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) has made another wrong move in his battle against Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) in EastEnders.

A vicious feud has ignited between the two men, and it can only end badly.

As viewers of the BBC soap know, Harry has been blackmailing Jack with a video of them both in fighting. The footage could of course be seriously damaging to the detective’s career.

In exchange, the Mitchell newbie has asked for insider information and a blind eye to be turned to his dodgy dealings.

He’s also been working with Jack’s daughter Penny (Kitty Castledine), who is wanting to enact her own revenge on her father after he turned his back on her way and agreed to let her take the fall for Chelsea Fox’s (Zaraah Abrahams) responsibility in the mass crushing incident at Peggy’s.

Despite Jack being a tough cookie, he seems genuinely threatened by Harry’s behaviour.

In tonight’s episode, Jack was having a crazy morning dealing with daughter Amy’s (Ellie Dadd) concerns about returning to school.

The teen suffered life-changing injuries during the club crush and has required the use of her wheelchair to aid in her recovery.

After heading back for her first day earlier in the week, she revealed that some cruel classmates had been mocking her.

Jack also realised that she had a physio appointment to attend with her, when Harry turned up and started meddling again.

He told the copper that his next ‘job’ was ready for him – he had to retrieve a stolen car and bring it back to Albert Square. Despite being insistent that he would have no part in it, Harry warned against Amy’s safety going forward.

Reluctantly agreeing, Jack headed to a residential area before climbing into the vehicle and driving off. What he didn’t realise was that Harry was watching from afar and recorded him.

As he arrived back home, disaster struck when he hit Reiss Colwell’s (Jonny Freeman) car.

Harry was not a happy man – and insisted that he pay for the damages. Jack believed his ordeal was finally over, but Harry asserted to him that this was only the beginning.

It won’t be over until he says so.
