The MTV Video Music Awards 2024 have begun and Chappell Roan’s behaviour has already got the internet talking.

Chappell, 26, was among the first stars to walk the VMAs carpet, donning a risqué Joan of Arc-esque outfit.

Draped in sheer fabric and also serving Florence Welch realness, the Good Luck, Babe! hitmaker left little to the imagination with a plunging neckline and material that exposed her breasts.

Accessorising by carrying a rather intimidating sword, the pop sensation, who is performing tonight, kept a stern face for cameras before unintentionally creating a viral moment.

Having seemingly been told to ‘shut the f**k up’ by one of the paparazzi clan, the Red Wine Supernova singer then turned around with an angry expression, pointing her finger and yelling: ‘You shut the f**k up!’

Stepping forward and continuing to point, she stated: ‘No, not me.’

The crowd started jeering as an assistant fixed Chappell’s dress on the unconventional black carpet before she composed herself to pose for pics.

Her appearance at the VMAs comes after she cancelled her European tour dates in order to rehearse for the coveted ceremony, where the likes of Sabrina Carpenter will also perform.

Chappell released a statement saying she was ‘heartbroken’ by the decision before fans turned on her and branded her ‘disrespectful’ for having skewed priorities.

Elsewhere at tonight’s VMAs, Megan Thee Stallion will host live from the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York.

Other performers include Camila Cabello, GloRilla, and Rauw Alejandro.
