The body of a woman was found in a river near Tuckton Tea Gardens
The body of a woman aged in her 80s has been found in a river near a tea garden in Bournemouth.
After the find was made police cordoned off part of Tuckton Tea Gardens with forensic officers on the scene.
The body was found in River Stour off Belle Vue Road in the coastal resort.
Dorset Police received a report at 9.21am today about the discovery.
A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: ‘The death is not being treated as suspicious and the woman’s next of kin has been informed.
‘The coroner has also been notified. Our thoughts are with the woman’s family and friends at this very difficult time.’
