SAN LORENZO — A suspect was arrested Thursday in connection with a pair of stabbings a day earlier in San Lorenzo, authorities said.

The first stabbing happened around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday in the 15000 block of Via Nueva, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. While at the scene, deputies received word of a second stabbing near Grant Avenue and Via Nueva.
Two victims were treated at an area hospital for their injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies searched the area but did not find the suspect. However, roughly 24 hours later, detectives identified and arrested a person on suspicion of attempted murder, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office did not release any additional information about the suspect Thursday.
The case remains under investigation.
