The 2024 Ford Bronco Everglades Edition 4 door 4×4 SUV

What is a Bronco? A Bronco is a midsize SUV built in the Ford Motor Company’s Wayne, Michigan assembly plant and sold in North America by Ford. The 2024 Ford Bronco is a 4 wheel drive SUV available in 9 primary trim levels. In order of price they are: Big Bend, Black Diamond, Heritage Edition, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, Heritage Edition Limited, Everglades and Raptor. This SUV is an Everglades Edition.

The Everglades Edition features unique 17″ inch carbonized gray painted alloy wheels with 35″ inch LT315/70R17 BSW Mud Terrain tires. It comes equipped with the Sasquatch Package featuring high clearance fenders and a high clearance suspension system, electronic locking front and rear axles and a 4.7 final drive ratio that has position sensitive Bilstein shocks designed for a better on and off road experience.

These shocks have internal hydraulic end stop control valves that give them position sensitive damping. This allows for less damping control over small road inputs, for floating over rough surfaces, and more damping control at the ends of travel for soaking up large bumps for a smoother ride on pavement or on the Rubicon Trail.

This week Ford sent me a 2024 Bronco 4 door 4×4 SUV to test drive and review. The base window sticker price for this Everglades Edition is: $55,720. The options on the test SUV are: the all weather floor liners with carpeted mats for $160. The manufactures suggested retail price (MSRP), including the $1,895 destination charge, is: $57,775.

After adding in the state and local sales tax, plus the DMV and dealers fees, the out the door and in your driveway total purchase price came to: $64,997. At only 3 bucks less than $65 Grand, this Everglades Edition is the top of the line Bronco trim for the best of on-road drivability, with astounding off-road capability. With its terrain management system, Bronco can adapt traction to the type of ground you’re driving over with Ford’s G.O.A.T. modes, “Goes Over Any type of Terrain”, at the spin of a console dial.

The Everglades Edition comes well equipped with many great features, especially on the safety front. You get adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, emergency braking, 360 degree cameras, and blind spot monitoring. Combined with the 2.3L EcoBoost I-4 engine and the Sasquatch package, the Everglades Edition is the first Ford vehicle equipped with a factory installed engine air intake snorkel system that lets you confidently splash through water and take on dusty trails. To stay on the safe side, always determine the water depth before attempting a crossing and proceed slowly to maintain control.

In addition to the big tires and wheels, this Bronco has black rock side rails, a grey molded in color hard top with a sound deadening headliner, removable front row roof panels with storage bags, black roof rails with black crossbars, a premium sound system with 7 speakers, connected navigation and an electronic locking front axle differential.
