SAN CARLOS — A woman was killed while biking in San Carlos after she was hit by a man driving a car, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was Andrea Vallebueno, a 31-year-old Palo Alto resident.
Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle on Holly Street near the Highway 101 overpass on Saturday morning.
When the deputies arrived, they found a woman suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she later died.
The driver stayed at the crash site and is cooperating with the investigation, which is ongoing, authorities said.
