Officers were summoned to the intersection of 1st and Hanna streets around 9:20 p.m. for reports of a fight with possible gunshots, the Gilroy Police Department said in a news release.

A man later arrived at an area hospital with an apparent gunshot wound, police said. He is expected to survive.

Around 10:45 p.m., a second shooting was reported at a home in the 7100 block of Church Street.

Police said no one was injured.

“It is unknown at this time if both are related,” police said about the shootings.

Additional details about the shootings were not released Tuesday.
