Wrigley Field will play host to the All-Star Game next summer, but it will also feature an Opening Day bout for the second consecutive season.
The Cubs’ 2027 schedule was released Thursday and features the campaign kicking off on the North Side, with a series against the Guardians starting March 25 ahead of a home set against the division-rival Cardinals.
After a couple swings through warm-weather Western cities in April, the Cubs will face off against the division-rival Brewers for the first time toward the end of the month.
There’s a four-game series with the perennially powerful Dodgers in early June ahead of a three-city trip out West, which features an odd scheduled doubleheader against the Padres on June 22. The Cubs take on the Cardinals on July 4 for the second straight summer.
After All-Star festivities take place at Wrigley Field for the first time since 1990 — the Midsummer Classic is slated for July 13 — the Cubs start the second half at home for the first of two Crosstown series against the White Sox, traveling to the South Side in early August.
The Cubs face off against the Brewers twice in the campaign’s final four weeks. There’s also a 10-game home stand in September, featuring series against the Reds, Orioles and Mets. The season concludes with an East Coast trip to Philadelphia and New York, with the Cubs wrapping the regular season with their sixth game against the Mets in 10 days.
