Pacific Grove: Juvenile disarmed, no injuries in school incident

Pacific Grove police safely disarmed a student who allegedly brandished an edged weapon at Monterey Bay Charter School on Friday afternoon, authorities said.

Officers responded to the incident at approximately 12:30 p.m. and worked with school staff to ensure the safety of students and staff, according to the City of Pacific Grove’s police department.

The juvenile was safely disarmed, taken off campus without incident, and is receiving mental health assistance, police said.

No injuries were reported.
