We all hate to see our favourite foodie items disappear, and over the last few months it’s safe to say we’ve lost some cracking products.

Weetabix recently left fans gutted after axing a ‘scrumptious’ breakfast cereal, and McDonald’s switched up its menu once again, meaning we lost nine items, including popular burgers and McFlurry flavours.

And now Heinz lovers are upset, after the condiment giant confirmed its ‘best tasting’ baked beans have been removed from its range for good.

In response to shoppers who have spent the last few months struggling to find the tins, a spokesperson for Kraft Heinz, revealed that Heinz Organic Baked Beans have officially been discontinued.

Sue Hadley took to X (formerly Twitter) to message the Heinz UK account, asking: ‘Why on earth can I not buy Heinz Organic Baked Beans any more? They were the best organic baked beans on the market! I wish they could be brought back. Online can buy for £5.20 a tin!’

After Heinz confirmed the bad news, Sue added: ‘Such a shame. They were the best on offer.’

Sheila Clubb felt similarly, saying she’d been relying on these beans for a taste of England while in the USA. And Claire Armstrong wrote: ‘So disappointing. Nothing to do with consumer tastes. Everything to do with costs/profits. Heinz Organic beans tasted the best, the actual beans were nicer.’

Meanwhile Keith Dancey posted: ‘Hey Heinz! Bring back your ORGANIC baked beans. They were the BEST.’

Fans of the beans even lashed out at Amanda, the poor spokesperson who revealed the beans had gotten the boot.

‘Amanda, you’re a mouthpiece for the devil,’ claimed @GZJohnsonGZ.

And it seems this isn’t the only thing that’s got shoppers complaining on social media, as some are also unhappy with another big change to a popular product.

Heinz recently announced the introduction of two new products Heinz Beanz & Richmond Sausages, and Heinz Spaghetti & Richmond Sausages.

While some undoubtedly love the new items, a number of people aren’t happy with the new recipe and the ‘change of sausage’.

Others were disappointed that the new products weren’t gluten-free.

The launch of Heinz tinned Spaghetti Carbonara also caused a stir in the last few weeks, with some branding the cheesy product an ‘abomination’ and Italians claiming their Nonna would be ‘spinning in her grave’ over it.

But Heinz defended the new product, with Alessandra de Dreuille, Meals Director at Kraft Heinz, saying: ‘We understand that people are looking for convenient meals that are …read more
