Anthony Joshua Wants to Fight Boxing Legend Tyson Furry After Jake Paul Knockout
On a much less serious note, Joshua’s future in the sport has been highly debated following the popular Netflix bout. Paul lasted six rounds before Joshua knocked out the YouTuber turned boxer. After the victory, Joshua called out boxing legend Tyson Furry, seemingly indicating he wants to continue fighting.
“I can’t wait to roll into 2026,” Joshua said after the victory over Paul, per ESPN. “If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, and he wants to put down his Twitter fingers and put on some gloves, and come and fight one of the realist fighters out there who will take on any challenge, step in the ring with me next if you’re a real bad boy.
“Don’t do all that talking: ‘AJ this, AJ that.’ Let’s see you in the ring and talk with your fists.”
The 36-year-old boxer appears eager to continue his career in the ring. It will be worth watching to see if the Joshua-Furry fight is eventually scheduled, but for now all the attention is on the boxer’s health amid a tragic car accident.
