Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway will reopen May 2021

Train enthusiasts, rejoice.

The Broadmoor Manitou and Pikes Peak Cog Railway is set to reopen this May. 

This $100 million renovation has been in the works since Oct. 2017. The train will take visitors nine miles up to the summit of Pikes Peak, which sits at 14,115 feet.

The ride will take about three hours round trip, with a stop at the new Pikes Peak Visitor Center.

The standard rate for visitors ages 13 and up is $58 when booked online and $48 for those 12 and under. 

The railway will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate its 130th anniversary on June 30.
