WWE SmackDown ended on an absolute high this week as Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens finally reunited and hugged it out.
The longtime friends and rivals have had a rollercoaster relationship over the years, but now they’re on the same page with two weeks to go until WrestleMania.
The night started with Cody Rhodes attempting to get them on the same page as a united front against The Bloodline, but KO wasn’t convinced by anything the two stars were saying.
He walked out after asking why he would want to fight alongside someone who doesn’t want to be his friend.
Sami caught the Prizefighter as he was leaving the arena, telling him that they are friends and he loves him, but KO went to drive away – not without a telling look back.
At the end of the night, Sami and Jey Uso came face to face for the first time since the latter’s betrayal, as they laid out the emotional highs and lows of one of wrestling’s greatest sagas.
Eventually, Jey attacked Sami and Jimmy Uso joined the fray, with the duo leaving their rival knocked out before Owens rushed down to take out the team, saving his friend and embracing him in the ring to a deserved roar from the crowd.
This is storytelling at its finest, and now the stage appears set for KO and Sami to win the Unified WWE Tag Team Titles from The Usos at WrestleMania 39.

The first match of the night saw The Judgment Day’s Dominik Mysterio and Rhea Ripley win a great, competitive bout against Legado del Fantasma’s Santos Escobar and Zelina Vega.
The latter pair got in plenty of offence and came close to winning on a number of occasions, with Zelina in particular shining before falling to Rhea’s Riptide.
After the bell, Dom had a microphone but again failed to convince his dad Rey Mysterio to fight him at WrestleMania, with the soon to be Hall of Famer showing real emotion as he refused the challenge.

‘Unfortunately, you’re my son and fighting you would be the greatest disgrace as a father,’ he said. ‘I’m not going to fight you now, I’m not going to fight you [ever], and I’m not going to fight you at WrestleMania.’
Wade Barrett announced two WrestleMania Showcase matches featuring four teams, one women’s bout and one men’s, with qualifiers starting on Friday night.
In the first, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez picked up an obvious win over Tegan Nox and Emma, a solid match that lacked any real drama.
