Ukraine won the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, with the Kalush Orchestra sweeping the public vote to get well over 600 points.

The UK came a close second, topping the jury vote, coming second overall and leading Sam Ryder to be dubbed a national hero.

Overall, the Eurovision final was filled with everything people have come to expect – there were outlandish performances, plenty of showmanship and calls for peace and unity between nations.

When will the next Eurovision be and will it be taking place in Ukraine?

While official dates haven’t been announced yet, Eurovision 2023 will likely take place in May.

This is because Eurovision always takes place in the month of May, having only been skipped in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
