Christmas jumpers have become a staple part of any festive celebration and what better reason to wear one than to raise money for charity on Christmas Jumper Day?
Christmas Jumper Day is back again this year to help raise money for Save The Children, a charity that helps children both in the UK, and all over the world.
Holly Willoughby, Phillip Schofield, Jamie Laing, Sophie Habboo, Andi Oliver, and Miquita Oliver have all joined forces to lend their support to the campaign, which has seen over four million people don jumpers for a good cause in the past, according to the charity.
This year, Coach Christmas (who you may have already spotted advertising the event) will also be helping members of the public to raise as much money as possible for the cause.
But when should you don your garish woolly attire?
When is Christmas Jumper Day 2022?
This year, Christmas Jumper Day is Thursday, December 8.
To take part, you simply wear a festive jumper (the sillier, the better) to work or to school if your organisation is participating in the charity day, and donate £2 to Save The Children.
You can donate more if you want to, but if you want to donate less, that’s fine too – anyone can take part in Christmas Jumper Day regardless of financial circumstances.
Although the official date for Christmas Jumper Day is Thursday 8 December, there’s nothing to stop you from wearing your festive knit another day – or every day throughout December – should you so choose.
