It doesn’t look like Union J’s reunion tour is going ahead – and fans are not happy.

The band – who formed on The X Factor in 2012 before officially disbanding in 2019 – announced in December last year that they would hitting the road for a special reunion tour in spring 2023.

Dates included Newcastle’s O2 City Hall on May 26, finishing off in Liverpool’s Empire Theatre on June 3.

However, previously excited fans have been left fuming after reportedly receiving emails from Ticketmaster, stating that their tickets for the shows had been refunded.

One fan shared the message she received from the Empire Theatre, which read: ‘Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, the promoters of the show have taken the difficult decision to cancel the performance that was due to take place on 03 June 2023.

‘We understand the disappointment this will cause and apologise for any inconvenience.’

The gutted fan wrote alongside her tweet: ‘The silence from them on all of this is actually disrespectful’.

She wasn’t the only one claiming to have received information about a refund, as another tweeted: ‘I was so confused when I got the email and saw they haven’t said anything’.

Others also expressed their frustration after spending a lot of money on tour expenses.

‘Safe to say I won’t be risking losing any more money on this band in the future now! Yeah we’ve got refunds but some of us have lost money in travel and hotels had a feeling this would happen but it’s been handled horrendously!’, one fan tweeted.

‘Not surprised the Union J tour has been cancelled, for a band that was gone for years, they needed WAY more promo to successfully sell tickets. Completely out of order fans had to find out via emails from the ticket companies and not the band or management themselves’, another penned.

So Union J are posting on the personal accounts, but haven’t said anything about the tour cancellation! Kinda low-key glad I never got tickets if this is how they are going about it. I love them, but they HAVE to ADDRESS this matter.
