Travis Kelce has lifted the lid on his romance with Taylor Swift, revealing there was a secret ‘Cupid’ beavering away behind the scenes.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, 34, started dating the Cruel Summer singer, 33, earlier this year, and they have been inseparable ever since.
He has been spotted in the crowd throughout the musician’s recent Eras tour performances, while she has proudly watched his NFL games, sat beside his beloved mother, Donna Kelce.
However, things got off to an awkward start after the athlete tried to meet his now-girlfriend during her concert at the Chiefs’ stadium, Arrowhead, in July – but failed to give her his number on a friendship bracelet.
In a new interview with WSJ Magazine, he spilled the beans on their relationship, revealing that members of her team secretly went above and beyond to pull their meeting off.
‘There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: “Yo! Did you know he was coming?” I had somebody playing Cupid,’ he told the outlet, without dropping any names. ‘She told me exactly what was going on and how I got lucky enough to get her to reach out.

‘She’ll probably hate me for saying this, but…when she came to Arrowhead, they gave her the big locker room as a dressing room, and her little cousins were taking pictures…in front of my locker.’
Travis joked that he was warned by his closest friends to not mess things up, and he is doing best to follow their advice.
Despite being pictured enjoying Taylor’s Eras tour and singing along to her tracks, he has remaining guarded when discussing his partner in public.

On an episode of his New Heights podcast, which he presents with brother Jason Kelce, the Super Bowl winner vowed that he wanted to only ‘talk about sports’ out of ‘respect for both our lives’.
Unpacking his stance, he continued to the outlet: ‘That was the biggest thing to me: make sure I don’t say anything that would push Taylor away.
‘I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f**king mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.’

Addressing the wild reaction that fans and the media have had to their romance, he added: ‘Obviously I’ve never dated anyone with that kind of aura about them…. I’ve never dealt with it.
