Soap and TV icon Pat Colbert dies aged 77

Dallas and soap star Pat Colbert has died at the age of 77.

The actress, who portrayed Dora Mae in the show, died on June 23 at her home in Compton, according to multiple reports. She had suffered three strokes over the last decade.

A funeral for Pat will be held on July 20.

Pat appeared in series 7 of Dallas back in 1983. Dora was the manager of the Oil Baron’s Club and starred in the show until the final season in 1991.

Her first acting credit was in Eischiled in 1979. She portrayed a model in the series, which also featured Joe Don Baker.

She went on to share credits with the likes of Woody Brown, Howard Duff, Barbara Rush and Morgan Fairchild.

Pat’s acting career also saw her star in The Fall Guy, A Death in California, as well as CBS’s Capitol.

Capitol was a soap opera that aired from 1982-1987. It followed the political intrigues of characters living in Washington DC. Pat portrayed Cora Mullens in the show.

Dallas started airing in 1978. It was said the show got cancelled in 1991 due to it becoming ‘too costly for its own good’.
