Selena Gomez has slammed the wild reaction to a video of her dancing with her co-star at a concert amid her relationship with Benny Blanco.
On Sunday, the Only Murders in the Building actress let her hair down while attending Sabrina Carpenter’s tour performance in New York, alongside a group of pals.
At one point, the 32-year-old was filmed enjoying herself while listening to Espresso with the group, including her Emilia Perez castmate, Edgar Ramirez – as you do.
However, the footage quickly went viral, leading to many bizarrely wondering why she had dared to dance so closely with someone who wasn’t her partner.
Having absolutely none of it, she quickly fired back on social media, mocking the ridiculous comments she had been flooded with.
Posting a video of herself and Edgar watching Beyonce perform last year, the Lose You To Love Me singer quipped: ‘Omg how dare I dance with my bestie.’

As well as this, Selena posted a video of herself dancing during the concert on her main Instagram grid and tagged boyfriend Benny, confirming that they are definitely still together.
Clearly thrilled by the footage, the music producer slid into the comments below to quote one of her most iconic tracks, penning: ‘Can’t keep my hands to myself.’
The Disney Channel alum went public with her new romance in December, but was quickly forced to defend her partner after fans accused him of ‘shading’ her in the past.
They have been inseparable ever since, and have been faced with intense speculation of a secret engagement in recent months.

Selena opened up about their budding relationship in a candid interview with Time Magazine, sharing that she got ‘used to’ being alone – and had considered adopting a child by herself – before Benny came along.
‘I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it,’ the Spring Breakers star said.
‘Then I came up with my plan, which was I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.’

’I know what people can do to people I love,’ she said of the public reaction to their bond. ‘My own fans, who I adore and feel like have shaped who I am, will say the most hurtful things to me about how I live my life.
‘But he has the strength in him that none of that noise fazes him. It’s really impressive, and I just cherish every moment with him.
