Do carrots make you cringe, or the thought of a mushroom makes you shudder? Well, Oddbox has just launched a campaign that’s here to help you overcome those veggie fears, alongside a pick-your-own fruit and vegetable box.

Oh, and if you’re new to Oddbox, you can save yourself 50% off your first box with the code: METRO50 – how good is that?

The new campaign, ‘Veg Haters Anonymous’, contains a series of hypnotism videos, tasty recipes, and positive affirmations designed to change your mind about those dreaded fruits and veggies.

In fact, Oddbox’s research shows that although 80.41% of people have attempted to overcome their dislike of vegetables, only 27.3% have been successful. The most disliked vegetable is okra, with 22.12% of respondents expressing their aversion. Other unpopular veggies include Jerusalem artichoke (21.48%), fennel (18.97%), and celeriac (17.98%).

With a little help from the new campaign, Oddbox is offering a light-hearted approach to tackling veggie aversions. With hypnotism videos, affirmations, and delicious recipes from chef Camille Aubert, Oddbox encourages everyone to give these underappreciated veggies another shot.

And if you still can’t stand them, Oddbox’s new pick-your-own boxes let you swap out your least favorite items for something you prefer, all while supporting growers and reducing food waste – along with that 50% off code (METRO50) to save yourself a little dosh whilst you’re at it.

Emma Bennett, Senior Brand and Content Manager, says: ‘Our research shows many people are trying to change their minds about certain veggies but struggle to succeed. With our new pick-your-own boxes, we’re giving our community the chance to experiment with new ingredients or avoid those they dislike, while staying true to our mission of reducing food waste.’

She adds: ‘95% of our community said having more choice made them waste less at home. As our mission is all about fighting food waste, it makes sense to give people greater control over the fruit and veg they rescue in their Oddbox each week.’
