Ruth Langsford had the perfect response to a troll who branded her ‘sad’ on her Instagram page after her split from Eamonn Holmes.
The Loose Women panellist, 64, shared a clip of herself making a fish dish inspired by a holiday in Spain in an advertisement for Tesco.
However, one of her followers criticised Ruth’s venture in the comments section, writing: ‘Ruth is better than this ridiculous advertising. Sad to watch.’
The former This Morning presenter riposted: ‘Feel free to unfollow if this is making you sad.’
The user then backtracked and told Ruth she ‘lover her posts normally’ and praised her chemistry with QVC co-host Jackie Kabler.
‘For some reason, these Tesco posts seem odd so I’ll stick to your other lovely posts. Sorry if I seemed harsh, as I wish you well and didn’t intend to offend,’ they added.

Ruth graciously accepted their apology and said: ‘No offence taken and good to hear you enjoy our shows on QVC….thanks for watching x..’
Earlier this year, it was announced Ruth and Eamonn, 64, had split after 14 years marriage.
Ruth has not publicly addressed the split but has been praised by her Loose Women co-star Coleen Nolan for being ‘dignified.’
Expressing her admiration for Ruth, Coleen explained: ‘I don’t want to say too much because it’s not my business to say Ruth’s life, but what I will say from a friend’s point of view is, I’ve never met anyone that has handled something with so much dignity and pride.’
