Oleksandr Usyk’s team have lodged a complaint about the ring canvas ahead of Saturday night’s undisputed heavyweight title fight against Tyson Fury.

Just two days before the opening bell, Sky Sports report a member of the Ukrainian’s team is unhappy with the condition of the mat inside the ring, specifically about the seams joining sections of the canvas together.

Concerns from the Usyk camp are that it could pose a trip hazard during the fight.

Usyk was in the same ring for the first time on Wednesday night to go through an individual public workout in front of a packed house.

The WBO, WBA and IBF champion then silently stared down as Fury was put through his paces by trainer SugarHill Steward.
