Man in his 20s fighting for his life after being shot ‘multiple times’

A man has been left in a critical condition after being shot ‘multiple times’ in the back and legs on a street in Rotherham.

Police said a 21-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following the incident.

Officers were called to Winifred Street in the South Yorkshire town just after 2.30pm yesterday.

They found the man with wounds to his back and legs which were described as ‘consistent with a firearms discharged’.
