Jennifer Garner took to Instagram on Monday to recall how she recently had to be rescued after getting lost kayaking with her daughter Violet, 12, in Stockholm, Sweden.
The actress also posted a picture with the man who saved her, a champion kayaker named Mattias Persson.
Jennifer Garner played a spy on TV for more than five years, but after a recent kayaking mishap on a trip to Sweden, it appears she’s not as savvy as her “Alias” character Sydney Bristow.
The actress posted on Instagram Monday, detailing how she and her daughter Violet, 12, got lost on a kayaking trip in Stockholm and had to be rescued.
“On a pre-middle-school sneak away with my eldest … Did I get us lost in a kayak? Yes. Did we paddle as hard as we could for 100 hours and end up in a shipping lane? I’m afraid so. Did we have to be rescued? Yup,” Garner wrote.

Garner included a picture of her paddling at sundown in a two-person kayak with her daughter, writing that watching the sunset was “a big upside”.
Violet, the eldest of Garner’s three children with ex-husband Ben Affleck, “never complained” once, her mother wrote.
On her Instagram story, Garner also posted a picture with the man who rescued her, a champion kayaker named Mattias Persson.
“If you’ve seen my post today… This is Mattias! Our savior! Thank you!” she wrote.
Langholmen Kayak, which rented the kayaks to Garner, also posted about the incident on Instagram:
