Unlike in disaster movies, aliens have reportedly not chosen to land in Los Angeles or New York but instead a small market town in Herefordshire.
An extra-terrestrial life form has been seen popping up around Leominster, home to around 12,000 people and now, apparently, a pale creature with huge, dark eyes.
The lifeform has been spotted in videos poking up alongside the town’s rector, mayor and a rotary club boss, perhaps having asked a resident to be taken to the town’s leaders.
The apparent alien had, the Hereford Times reported, also made it onto CCTV footage. But, not for the first time, it is not a case of calling Nasa as the sightings are in fact a stunt that has been orchestrated by a local charity to promote a fun run.

Independent Herefordshire-based organisation Echo had released the footage to promote its Alien Colourfest – a fundraising event where runners will be pelted with dye around a course.
Fundraising officer Penny Weir told the Metro that readers could make their own minds up whether the alien was proof of extraterrestrial life within the town.
‘People have been wonderful in supporting the event which is part of Leominster Festival,’ she said. ‘A lot of children and families are involved.’
Echo raises money to support community organisations and projects for those with moderate or severe learning difficulties. The colour run will be held on Saturday, May 27.
Ian Pedrick, president of Leominster Rotary, said in a Facebook video: ‘This is a colour fun run for all the family. There is great enjoyment and entertainment… Your participation will help provide funds for Echo to continue their work for day services for people with disabilities.’
The creature then greets Mr Pedrick who then tells the camera: ‘Remember, there are no such things as aliens.’
