“Those Who Wish Me Dead” is one of the latest Warner Bros. films to premiere in theaters and on HBO Max on the same day. The movie debuted on May 14, but it will only be available on HBO Max through June 13.
Angelina Jolie, Nicholas Hoult, Aidan Gillen, and Finn Little star in the action thriller directed by Taylor Sheridan. The story follows Hannah Faber (Jolie), a smoke jumper who has to save a young boy (Little) from two assassins, Patrick (Hoult) and Jack Blackwell (Gillen), in the midst of a raging forest fire. The movie is based on the Michael Koryta novel of the same name.

“Those Who Wish Me Dead” premiered on HBO Max the same day it hit theaters on May 14. The movie is available to HBO Max subscribers with the ad-free plan, but it’s only streaming through June 13. After that date, the movie will be removed from HBO Max, though it could return at some point down the line.
HBO Max costs $15 a month for ad-free streaming or $10 a month for streaming with ads. That said, in-theater titles like “Those Who Wish Me Dead” are only available with the ad-free plan. Though subscriptions through HBO’s website don’t include a free trial, you can get a one-week trial if you sign up for the HBO Max add-on through Hulu. The Hulu trial is only available to new HBO subscribers.
