Heartstopper star Kit Connor has left fans gobsmacked after his arm-flexing kiss with Rachel Zegler during his Broadway debut in Romeo and Juliet.
The 20-year-old actor is stirring up a storm in New York in his role as Shakespearean lead Romeo opposite the Snow White star, 23, as part of Tony winner Sam Gold and Jack Antonoff’s modern musical adaptation.
The synopsis reads: ‘The youth are f**ked. Left to their own devices in their parents’ world of violent ends, an impulsive pair of star-crossed lovers hurtle towards their inescapable fate.
‘The intoxicating high of passion quickly descends into a brutal chaos that can only end one way.’
As with any re-imagining of the beloved stage show, at its core is the love story Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet, children bound to feuding families who fight to stay together – at any cost.
As the previews kick off at Circle in the Square Theatre, there’s one moment between Kit’s Romeo and Rachel’s Juliet that fans simply can’t get over. When he does a pull up to capture her lips in a kiss.

In a clip from the moment, the audience can see Kit dangling from the frame of an elevated bed on which Juliet is lounging before effortlessly pulling himself up for a smooch as the the crowd cheers and gasps in shock at the suave move.
As the video goes viral, fans are sharing just how impressed they are.
