Eagle-eyed viewers watching Michael McIntyre’s Big Show have seemingly spotted a continuity error on the BBC show.
The latest series of the comedian’s primetime Saturday night programme has been starstudded to say the least, with appearances from celebrities including Alison Hammond, Katherine Ryan and AJ Odudu.
Fans were recently shocked to discover the truth about how the Big Show is filmed, as they learnt that the pre-recorded segments featured on one episode are actually filmed at different times and then edited together.
That realisation prompted some to spot what appeared to be a continuity error in the latest episode, thanks to the return of You’re Beautiful singer James Blunt.
During last week’s instalment, which aired on February 3, the musician performed his track All The Love That I Ever Needed, which was released in 2023.
Then a week later on February 10, James appeared on the programme yet again at a very random time… leading to the assumption that perhaps his two appearances were actually filmed on the same day.

During last night’s programme, the Big Show surprised a new ‘unexpected star’, a young woman called Louise with dreams of singing and performing on stage.
They pretended that she was going for an indoor skydiving session, only for her to be descended on a wire above the stage at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London as the audience clapped and cheered for her.
Before she realised where she actually was and prepared to sing on stage, she actually met James while waiting to do the indoor skydiving, when he pretended to have done the adrenaline-rushing activity before her.
With Michael in his ear feeding him instructions, the singer even made a series of punny jokes referencing some of his biggest songs.

The X account @superTV247 wrote: ‘James Blunt randomly appearing during the set-up for tonight’s unexpected star of the show when he actually performed during last weeks episode is the first major continuity error I’ve noticed with this editing.’
While another viewer called Scott suspected that James simply came to the theatre on two separate occasions, we’d suspect that it would have been easier to film it all in one go.
Viewers were previously left astonished when they found out the reality of how the Big Show is filmed, with the segments spliced and then put together at a later stage.
An audience member called Luke shared: ‘Yep…when I went we had to sit through a re-recording of a star of the show from the week before due to it not being filmed correctly!’
