Oliver Spedding has died at the age of 34, his former football club announced
Oliver Spedding, a former footballer and boyfriend of adult film star Sophie Anderson, has died at the age of 34.
A minute’s silence was held before his old team played this week, as teammates hailed the ‘madman with a massive heart’.
One of Spedding’s friends posted a photo of the pair and added: ‘Sleep well Ollie mate. It was quite a ride. Until we meet again.’
Spedding had hoped to become a big footballer with Crystal Palace, before time in jail saw him leave the sport.
He then picked up painting and decorating before beginning porn, which he did until the time of his death.

He said on a podcast last year: ‘People used to say to me, “You’re doing it all anyway”, because they knew I used to sleep with girls, I was a player – and they said, “You might as well get paid for it”.
‘But it wasn’t until I had the confidence to actually do it – it was a whole different ball game.
‘When I was at Crystal Palace, if I’d have stayed with them, then I could have been earning a lot more playing football. I used to fight as well, maybe that could have gone somewhere.
‘I was good at both of those things, but being a porn star, I thought that would be just as good – but it’s not as good as people think.’

Spedding’s cause of death has not been disclosed, and his girlfriend has not yet shared an update – last sharing a photo with her beau 15 weeks ago on Instagram.
But fans are showing support for the adult star, with one commenting: ‘We love you Sophie, you’ve got so many people who care about you. Sending you a big hug.’
Another added: ‘I hope you’re doing okay. We love you.’
