Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez insists he will stay at the club for as long as they ‘want’ him after blasting ‘fake’ speculation over his future.
Reports last week claimed the Argentine wanted to leave Stamford Bridge, just 12 months after his £107m move from Benfica.
The midfielder has struggled to replicate the form that convinced Chelsea to pay such a high price for him in 2023.
However, he celebrated emphatically after a brilliant free-kick against Aston Villa last Wednesday and did so again as Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 3-1 at Selhurst Park on Monday night.
And, speaking after the victory, Fernandez blasted the speculation over his future and says he’s ‘happy’ at Stamford Bridge.

‘I think I made it very clear that the rumours weren’t real,’ said Fernandez.
‘I don’t know where they came from. They had talked on social media, I think, something like that. It’s a total lie, I don’t want to leave Chelsea, I’m happy here.
‘I’m happy with my teammates, with the coaching staff, with the people at the club. From the first day I arrived they treated me wonderfully, I am very grateful. Regardless of what happens in football, I am grateful to be able to play here.”
‘I am happy here at Chelsea and I will continue as long as they want me here. Okay?’
Chelsea’s win kept the club’s European qualification hopes alive.
The Blues are seven points off Manchester United in sixth.
