The autumn is pretty much upon us and the soaps kick things off with a bang, with all of the nation’s favourite serial dramas pulling out the soaps to make next week one to remember!
EastEnders deals with the fallout of Chrissie Watts’ comeback as Sharon comes to terms with the unexpected reappearance of her stepmum, who famously killed Den.
Hollyoaks, meanwhile, begins its new transmission pattern, with three episodes on offer next week instead of the usual five, with a chaotic stunt week that is set to change the eponymous village as we know it.
Over in Emmerdale, Moira Dingle’s life is on the line as fire breaks out in the barn while she’s holding Ruby Fox-Miligan at gunpoint and Coronation Street sees the sad death of Paul Foreman.
And as for Neighbours? Well, Aaron Brennan makes quite a big discovery – one that ocould change the entire family dynamic at No 24 forever.

EastEnders
1. George bonds with Kojo but, after Johnny accidentally triggers Kojo, Elaine intervenes, telling her beau that the newcomer has to go because they aren’t equipped to deal with his needs. Kojo, however, overhears and disappears, with George quick to point the finger at Elaine.

2. Anna is upset but Bobby has to work and therefore he enlists Freddie’s help. But Freddie isn’t keen on being alone with Anna and makes up a flimsy excuse, which leaves her hurt. Afterwards, Anna decides to asks Freddie if everything is okay but she subsequently has a dizzy spell. As the week comes to a close, we discover that Anna is pregnant – with Bobby’s baby!
3. Jack breaks the news to Amy that the police will want to interview her about the club crush and when Ricky wonders if Penny will go to prison, Jack refuses to rule it out. Chelsea is privately horrified to realise the severity of the situation.
4 Avani is supposedly hanging out with Barney but she ignores him to focus on texting somebody. Barney asks her who she’s messaging and correctly guesses that it’s a boy. Avani snaps at him, but it’s clear that Barney has touched a nerve.
5. Tensions mount as Chrissie and Sharon clash in prison.

6. Paul is discovered unresponsive by Bernie and Summer, who swiftly call for an ambulance. Billy, however, has lost his phone and, concerned about the loss of precious photos and memories, he sets off to find it. With no way of contacting Billy, Bernie and Summer do everything they can to keep dying Paul alive – but will Billy make it to his husband’s bedside to say his final goodbyes?
