Is it goodbye? (Picture: BBC)
Is Janine Butcher (Charlie Brooks) finally about to see off the threat of Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) for good in upcoming EastEnders episodes?
Alarmed by the fear that Mick (Danny Dyer) and Linda are growing closer again, Janine becomes increasingly paranoid. Her worries are not helped by Shirley (Linda Henry) and Nancy (Maddy Hill) taking any opportunity to remind her that Mick and Linda will always have a special bond together.
Mick is determined to convince Linda to get help for her alcoholism, and after he opens up to her about his own troubles she finally agrees to get help. Mick says that he’ll go to meetings with her to give her some support – and Janine’s furious.
She decides to take decisive action, and as is so often the case with Janine she decides to let money do the talking.
She offers Linda £25,000 to leave Walford for good.
Linda makes a counter offer – double the money and she’ll leave. Janine sets about raising the money with a cunning and extremely wicked plan, and tells Linda if she wants the cash she has to leave the next day.
As Linda prepares to leave Albert Square she says her sad and poignant goodbyes to her family and it seems Janine has won.
But has she really?
