Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) was recently diagnosed with motor neurone disease in Coronation Street, which will end up taking his life.

Initially, Paul chose to distract himself from the problem by taking on dodgy jobs from Damon (Ciaran Griffiths).

Sadly though, with Paul’s health deteriorating, it’ll only be a matter of time until his family and friends find out the news, who will all eventually end up taking care of Paul.

Before that, Paul has decided to embrace the final period of his life and first up, it’s his sister’s wedding.

After making up with Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell), Paul walks her up the aisle, all while battling his MND symptoms.

As Gemma and Ches (Sam Aston) exchange vows, it looks like nothing can ruin their day, but how will Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) react when she finds out that Linda – Joseph’s (William Flanagan) grandma – secretly funded the wedding?

Well, given this is Bernie we’re talking about, it’s no surprise when Paul has to step in to try and diffuse the situation.

After Gemma and Chesney perform their first dance, Paul drags his sister up for a duet and, as Billy and Bernie hit the dancefloor as well, it’s very clear Paul is determined to grab happiness while he can as the next day, he heads to the hospital to find out if he’s suitable to have the Tofersen treatment.

‘She’s going to be completely devastated’, Dolly-Rose Campbell revealed to us, teasing Gemma’s reaction to finding out her twin has MND.

‘They’re not just brother and sister, they’re twins, they’ve been together their whole lives. I think her approach would be to stay strong, they are a bit of an out-there family, but they do love each other, they stick together, and they want what’s best for each other.’
