How the culinary world is mourning chef Robuchon on social media

Joel Robuchon, the celebrated French chef who had earned more Michelin stars than any other chef in the world, died Monday of cancer, the Associated Press and other news agencies reported. He was 73.

“His career was one of superlatives,” AP reported. “Named among the best craftsmen in France in 1976, crowned cook of the century in 1990, chosen to be one of the cooks at the ‘dinner of the century,’ and, for years, holder of the most Michelin stars in the world.”

According to Eater London, his restaurants currently hold 32 stars across 13 countries.

Chefs from California to France took to social media on Monday to pay tribute to Robuchon:
