Two men shot in East Oakland


OAKLAND — Two men, one 33 and the other 43,  were shot in East Oakland Tuesday night, authorities said.

Both men were in stable condition at a hospital.

The shooting happened about 9 p.m. Tuesday in a parking lot in the 10100 block of International Boulevard.

Police said the two men who ended up getting shot were hanging out together when the younger man got into some kind of altercation with another man. Police have not said what the altercation was about.

The man then got a pistol out of a pickup truck and began shooting at the other two men.

The  33-year-old man was hit in the arm and the 43-year-old man in the leg, authorities said.

The shooter then fled in the truck.

He was described as 20 to 30-years old with a medium build.  He was wearing a gray hat, green jacket, white shirt, blue jeans and brown boots.

Police and Crime Stoppers of Oakland are offering up to $10,000 in reward money for information leading to the arrest of the shooter.  Anyone with information may call police at 510-238-3426 or Crime Stoppers at 510-777-8572.
