Two death in separate shootings 30 minutes apart in San Francisco


SAN FRANCISCO — Two men were killed and three people were injured after two separate shootings just 30 minutes from each other on Friday night, police said.

Officers responded to the first shooting at about 7:55 p.m. at the 300 block of Hunter’s Point Boulevard in San Francisco. There, they found a 49-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Then at 8:27 p.m. officers responded to the 200 block of Schwerin Street, in Visitation Valley, where they found one 33-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds who was declared dead at the scene.

A 34-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman were taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, while a 46-year-old man was treated at the scene.

The shootings came on a deadly day in the Bay Area, which included two dead in a shooting and one dead in a stabbing in San Jose, and one dead in a shooting in Richmond.

Officers are investigating both shootings, and anyone with information is asked to call the San Francisco Police Department, including the tip line at 415-575-4444.
