‘The Voice’ Season 21 Episode 19 Recap: Top 11 Turn Up the Power for Fan Week

Wendy Moten kicked off Fan Week with a performance of Aretha Franklin’s “Freeway of Love.” It’s Wendy’s birthday, and she couldn’t wait to turn up the energy with this tune. Ariana told Wendy that she sang a “humongous” song, while John called her tone and technique “beautiful.” Meanwhile, Blake said Wendy has already reached “icon” status and has the potential to become a big star.

The Voice Season 21 Episode 19 showcased Fan Week, where the Top 11 artists performed songs chosen by fans across the U.S. Coaches Blake Shelton, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, and John Legend celebrated the competition’s viewers while their artists filled the evening with energy and emotion. Until Nov. 23 at 7 a.m., fans can vote for their favorite Top 11 artists ahead of the week’s eliminations. Which artists will make it to the Top 10? Check out their song choices below.

Paris Winningham felt incredibly grateful to fans for bringing him this far. They chose Bill Withers’ “Use Me” for Paris this week, and he delivered a smooth, jazzy performance. John said he put soul and power into the rendition. Blake recognized the ease in Paris’s voice and the control he had over the room.

Team Kelly

Girl Named Tom’s fans chose Ingrid Andress’ “More Hearts Than Mine” for the trio’s performance. In rehearsal, Kelly encouraged the singers to showcase some a capella moments. Blake said Girl Named Tom’s rendition “felt like home.” Then, Kelly applauded the group for their ability to pick up a song they’d never experienced before so quickly.

Jeremy Rosado took to the stage with a worship song, Cory Asbury’s “Reckless Love.” Kelly told the singer to build up his vocals until the chorus. John told Jeremy that he seemed “in his element” and complimented his passionate performance. Kelly said this performance acted as a gateway to more Christian music for Jeremy, which was where he wanted to take his career.

After performing for an Instant Save last week, Gymani was ready to wow the coaches. The fans chose Rihanna’s “Diamonds”; Kelly had Gymani slow the tune down to showcase her softer side. The singer received a standing ovation from Kelly, Ariana, Blake, and John. Kelly said she felt like she was at Gymani’s concert and complimented her “technical” talent.

Team Kelly’s Hailey Mia quickly became a fan favorite on The Voice. She closed out the team’s performances with a slow and smooth rendition of Sia’s “Elastic Heart.” In rehearsal, Kelly said the …read more
