Hours after debuting its COVID-19 vaccination appointments, Sutter Health’s website has crashed.
As of Thursday afternoon, the California-based healthcare system’s website was down, displaying a message to many online users that read: “This site can’t be reached.”
A message on the homepage — for those who could reach that far — read:
“System Notice: Due to high demand for vaccination scheduling, My Health Online and our call center may be temporarily offline or experiencing slowness. Please do not call your care site or provider’s office for scheduling. Thank you for your patience as we work to resolve these issues.”
Sutter Health earlier Thursday morning opened up vaccine appointments for Californians over the age of 75 and healthcare workers. Those eligible to receive their first dose of the vaccine were permitted to make appointments via the Sutter Health call center at 844-987-6115 or through the healthcare provider’s ‘My Health Online’ portal.
A spokesperson for Sutter Health could not immediately be reached for comment.
